Julia Keelan Angley is a writer and filmmaker based in Los Angeles, CA. Originally from Boston, Julia studied creative writing and digital media on the east coast before relocating to LA to pursue an MFA in film production.
Julia loves dark comedies, coming-of-age dramas, genre-bending fairytales, and stories about strong women. She is currently working on her first novel, a post-apocalyptic retelling of the The Princess and the Pea, and completing work on her latest short film, Anxiety in the Apocalypse.
Her short films have premiered at festivals such as LA Shorts and Woods Hole Film Festival. She has been recognized with the Motion Picture Association Award (2017), the Norris Foundation Award (2018), and the Edie and Lew Wasserman Film Production Fellowship (2019) for her short film work.
In addition to her own projects, Julia works in visual effects in the Los Angeles area.
