Julia Keelan Angley is a filmmaker based in Los Angeles, CA. Originally from Boston, Julia studied creative writing and digital media on the east coast before relocating to LA to pursue her MFA in film directing at UCLA.
Julia loves dark comedies, coming-of-age dramas, and stories about strong women. Her most recent short film, Matriarch, will premiere this summer at festivals in the Boston Area. She has been recognized with the Motion Picture Association Award (2017), the Norris Foundation Award (2018), and the Edie and Lew Wasserman Film Production Fellowship (2019) for her short film work.
Over her filmmaking career, Julia has developed a love for everything post-production. In addition to directing her own projects, Julia is an editor and post production professional working in the Los Angeles area.
